Positano

Set into the mountain, surrounded by rich mediterranean vegetation, Positano is so picturesque as to seem a natural stage setting. Seen from the sea she looks like a waterfall of little multicoloured houses clinging onto her sides. The town stends vertically. The homes, one on top of the other, are characterised by arched porticos that give onto the sea, are painted in pastel colours, giving Positano the look of a multifaceted precious stone. The narrow streets, lined with boutiques, run downhill between the houses flowing onto the widest beach. On the main square of Positano stands a beautiful church, built in the year 1,000. The great coloured majolica cupola is visible from all over town. Other charming little beaches can be found in Positano, and can easy be reached on foot or by boat.

Positano is not just about the sea: pleasant walks take you to visit the evocative area of the Mountains like the famous Trail of the Gods (Sentiero degli Dei), with beautiful views over the entire coast. Or you can reach the beautiful coastal Punta San Pietro, where a little church on a precipice over the sea awaits you. Positano is synonymous with summer fashion. In the labyrinth of alleys the miracle of “made in Positano” fashion was realised: dozens of boutiques show off their summer-wear, by now known the world over. Textiles and colours lay down the law in the world of beachwear: from pareus to bikinis, casual and “gran gala” evening wear, to characteristic wedding dresses. The hand-made leather footwear can be ordered to size. For sale are the colourful local ceramics, the paintings by the many artists that capture views of the enchanting gulf, and a wide range of typical products.

To describe the beauty of Positano is not easy. Any word would not convey the idea. Her atmosphere is so special it transport you into another dimension. Getting married in Positano means creating and experiencing an unforgettable once in a lifetime moment!
